Obamacare “Grubers” Co-Op (and 80,000 Coloradans)

Comment: Another government comedy of errors.  The Administration doesn’t want you to know Obamacare’s real price, so they’ve aggressively pressed insurers to keep prices low, even sell at a loss.  Meanwhile, losing insurers were promised a share in booty from profitable companies through a “risk corridor.” But nearly every Obamaslavery company lost money, so those profits don’t exist to share, and the Administration’s partners in deception are left holding the bag.  Yeah, that’s the free market for ya /sarc.

Congratulations insurance companies (and customers) who put their faith in Obamacare, you’ve been Grubered!

“Lewis is one of 80,000 Coloradans who lost coverage last week when the Colorado Division of Insurance decided that Colorado HealthOP isn’t in financial shape to cover all its members’ claims next year.”

“The co-op’s financial viability has been under watch for nearly a year now. Its coffers were looking fine until the first of this month when the Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services, a subset of the federal Department of Health and Human Services, walked back on reimbursement promises it had made through the risk corridor program.”

Here’s what happened to Colorado HealthOP
