Dem: ‘We’ll Just Force Doctors to Work’

Comment: (The article below made Drudge.) The Truth Squad knew this wouldn’t be long in coming. Never mind that a majority of the American people never wanted Obamacare. The Democrats rammed it down our throats anyway. Never mind that Democrat Rep. Dingell said we needed Obamacare to ‘control the people’. Obamacare supporters have an authoritarian streak a mile wide. Now comes a proposal from a Democrat candidate for state office in Virginia to coerce doctors to accept Medicaid and Medicare patients even if they don’t want to. What’s wrong with forcing doctors to work? Well, for starters, there’s this little ‘no involuntary servitude’ 13th Amendment thing. But here’s how the pro-Obamacare thugs will eventually get their way on this: They will nationalize all medical licenses and tell all medical professionals where and when to work, on pain of not being able to work anywhere in the country if they don’t. Obamacare: nice smile, teeth of iron. Still think Obamacare is about healthcare? You couldn’t be more wrong.

“Friday night at the Great Falls Grange debate, Democrat delegate candidate Kathleen Murphy said that since many doctors are not accepting Medicaid and Medicare patients, she advocates making it a legal requirement for those people to be accepted.”

“She did not recognize payments for these government services as being inadequate to cover doctors’ costs. She also did not acknowledge there is a shortage of over 45,000 physicians now, a shortage that is expected to balloon to 90,000 in a few years. Democrats appear to want to make physicians slaves of the state but don’t admit increases in low Medicaid payments will just drive more doctors out of practice into retirement and other occupations.”
